Mediation is an alternative form of dispute resolution. In mediation, disputes are settled with the aid of an independent mediator who acts as process counsellor.
Mediation has acquired a special role within labour law and is increasingly recommended by the court or by the parties involved as an alternative means of dispute resolution.
Paul Boontje, the founder of Boontje Advocaten (2001), has completed accredited training as (recognised) mediator and is registered with the Netherlands Mediators Federation, the MfN (formerly the Netherlands Mediation Institute, NMI). The MfN mediators abide by the MfN Code of Conduct for MfN Register Mediators.
